2026-2027 School Year

If you would like to request a change for your classes for the 2026-2027 School Year, please complete a paper “Course Change Request Form” during the first week of school in August 2026. The forms will be located in the cafeteria and can be turned into the drop box. The counselors will call you down to discuss your request. Changes cannot be guaranteed, but we will do our best to accommodate requests when possible.

*For Current 5th, 6th, & 7th Graders Only*

TIMELINE

Course Selections for the following school year typically take place in February. There will be Parent Meetings before counselors meet with students so that parents can preview the process and course offerings and have discussions with their students before selections are made. More detailed information will be shared via ParentSquare as we get closer to the spring semester.

*For Current 8th Graders Only*

OVERVIEW

  • All students are required to have a 4-year academic plan on file before they enter 9th grade
  • The plan can be edited after students enter high school, but we must have a starting point for them that shows a path to graduation that prepares them for their next steps after high school
  • The plan will outline planned courses and a Program of Study that aligns to the students’ interests and goals

TIMELINE

The PGP process typically begins in January with a Parent Meeting to discuss an overview of high school graduation requirements. The counselors will then give a presentation for all 8th grade students and will meet individually with each student to create their personalized graduation plan. The plans will then be reviewed and approved by a parent/guardian before being finalized and shared with the high school.
