I am the Athletic Coordinator at Taylor Middle School. I encourage all students to become involved in any extracurricular activity during their school years. Whether it be Academic Activities or Athletic Activities. These extracurricular activities require work and self discipline as well as teaches students needed skills for lifetime activities.
I have been teaching and coaching for thirty years and have been here at Taylor ISD for eleven years. I am always excited about Duck activities and all athletic programs. I believe that all students can be successful but it takes work and self discipline. I encourage parents to be involved in encouraging their children to be active and be productive. It is a parents position to support activities that help their child learn the skills necessary for a productive life. The Coaching Staff at Taylor Middle School is dedicated to producing young men and young women who are ready for High School activities as well as giving them the tools necessary to be successful. Athletic activities are a privilege available to all students who are willing to put in the work and follow the rules of participation and team building. We are all in this together and it is important that all involved remember it is about the team not the individual. I look forward to continuing to build great programs here at Taylor ISD.
Athletics Physical Examination Requirements
Parents of Taylor Ducks,
It is our policy at Taylor ISD to require physical examinations yearly for all students interested in Athletic participation. There is a packet of paperwork that must be completed and signed by every athlete enrolled in the Athletics class. If this requirement cannot be met then the student cannot participate in any athletic event and will be subject to removal from the program. Without a physical examination on fie with the Athletic Department a student cannot be involved in any practice or game participation.
