Welcome to 7th Grade Math!

This is my fourth year at Taylor Middle School, and I am excited to be in a new grade level with many of my students from last year. This year I am also the Mathematics Department Head.  I'm originally from Nocona, Texas, which is in north central Texas. I attended college at Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas and received my bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on middle school mathematics. I enjoy watching and attending NASCAR races with my family. My favorite driver is Joey Logano. I love elephants and the color purple. You will see my classroom decorated in both of these.

This year I will be teaching 7th Math and 7th Pre-AP Math.

I use Remind as a way to send out announcements to parents about any activities, assignments, or tests we are having in class. I have a separate class for the on-level classes and the pre-ap classes, so please make sure you sign up for the appropriate class.

I also typically send home progress reports once a week that details student grades for my class only.  I highlight any failing or missing assignments.  If there are any failing grades from the previous week, I will have these attached to the progress report, as well.  I require parents to sign these and students to return them so everyone knows where they stand.

In the attached files you will find my daily schedule and information to sign up for Remind messages.

If you ever have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.  My conference period is from 12:34-1:20 p.m.  You may call me at 512-352-2815 or email me at acozart@taylorisd.org.
