WELCOME TO MIDDLE SCHOOL!
2017-2018 is going to be an AMAZING year here at TMS! ELA will be rocking and rolling through some great curriculum, including myths, novels, drama, and nonfiction.
My best advice to all of you....READ, READ, READ and READ some more! Read anything and everything you can get your hands on, from magazines to newspapers, repair manuals to graphic novels.
Please be sure your student has one folder, one composition notebook, and one spiral for ELA. We will be using our composition notebook as an interactive notebook throughout the year and our spiral for writing and vocabulary.
When our library at TMS opens, I will update you on what your child should be reading and how the process will work for checking out and returning books.
Stay tuned for more info as we begin another year.
This will be my 19th year teaching; my 5th here at TMS. I am a proud mother of a high school SENIOR, an 9th grader, a 7th grader and a 3rd grader. When I am not teaching, I am usually on the sidelines of the soccer field, cheering on my kids or at Temple High or Bonham Middle school, supporting my daughters as they cheer on their teams. I also have two pets; all dogs. Needless to say, I stay busy!
I attended high school just down the road in Rockdale. After high school, I attended college at Tarleton State University in Stephenville, then transferred to the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor to complete my Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with a minor in English. I am also a Master Certified Science teacher and a certified ESL teacher.
If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to email me. I can be reached at (512) 352- 2815 ex. 5304 or firstname.lastname@example.org. My conference time is from 11:42-12:28.
I am excited to share the knowledge I have with your children and hope that we can work together to educate our kids to succeed in life!
