Taylor Made Texas

Principal's Message

  • Steve Vigil

To those of you new to TMS, welcome! I am Steven Vigil, Principal of Taylor Middle School. I look forward to serving the students, parents, faculty, and staff of TMS for another year. To those of you returning, I am thrilled to welcome you back and to continue on the journey that is the 2023-2024 school year. The TMS faculty/staff and I are looking forward to another year full of inspiring, equipping, and empowering our scholars to reach their highest potential.

As we all know, in order to be successful in school, our children need support from both the home and school. A strong partnership with you will make a great difference in your child’s education. As partners, we share the responsibility for our scholar's success and want you to know that the faculty and staff of TMS will do our very best every day to ensure we are meeting and exceeding expectations.

My hopes for our TMS students for this year are:

    • That they always recognize their strengths and have confidence in themselves.
    • That they realize that education is the key that will open many doors for them and that they won’t take it for granted.
    • That they’re kind and that their kindness is returned to them.
    • That they’ll recognize that learning happens both in and outside the classroom.
    • That they will do everything in their power to use the knowledge they gather to make the world a better place and to always strive to grow and learn.
    • That they’ll ask for help when they need it so that those of us who have made education our life’s work can support them the best we can.

I would like to ask for all parents/guardian’s support in guiding your scholar's success in middle school by ensuring that they:

    1) Attend school daily and arrives on time, ready for the day’s learning experience,

    2) Complete all assignments given by teachers,

    3) Follow all campus procedures and guidelines,

    4) Share school experiences with you so that you are aware of his/her school life,

    5) Inform you and/or their teacher if they need additional support in any area or subject

Once again, I am honored to be able to continue to serve as the principal of Taylor Middle School. It is great to continue to be a part of a community where students, teachers, and parents care for each other and strive to build meaningful relationships that support academic and social-emotional growth.

    Go Ducks!
